Margaret Priest is current first year M.A.\/M.S. candidate in the Conservation of Art and Cultural Heritage \/ Conservation Science and Imaging in the Patricia H. and Robert E. Garman Art Conservation Department at Buffalo State University.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>

\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

She is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina Asheville, where she earned a B.A. in Art History with minors in Studio Art and Chemistry. During her undergraduate studies, she was a collections intern at the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center<\/a>, an intern at a private paintings conservation studio, and a teaching assistant in both organic and inorganic chemistry. Her senior thesis<\/a> explored how the Museum of the Bible\u2019s collection has broad implications for cultural heritage ethics. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant developing green polymerization methods for use in organic solar cells.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of her professional work, Margaret enjoys vegan cooking and keeping up with her family’s dogs and donkeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
